2019-released Dream Girl starring Ayushmann Khurrana in and as a very interesting character recently became the talk of the town and won many hearts among the audience. The movie revolves around Ayushmann playing a layered character of a small town boy, named Karam, looking for employment; and his alias Pooja, the dream girl who is popular for her sweet talking “chat services” at a call center. 

Dream Girl is worth watching because it is yet another example of Ayushmann’s versatility as an actor. The movie also features other characters who are directly and indirectly connected to Ayushmann’s role. Nushrat Bharucha plays Mahi Rajput, Karam’s beau and to-be-wife, Annu Kapoor as Jagjeet Singh, playing Karam’s widower father and Vijay Raaz, Nidhi Bisht, Abhishek Bannerjee and Raj Bhansali as Karam aka Pooja’s regular callers. 

The meticulously selected cast and their equally excellent performances is yet another reason why Dream Girl is definitely worth watching. The movie is loaded with witty one-liners and silly jokes that make it an in-and-out light hearted comedy, perfect as a Sunday afternoon watch. Director Raaj Shaandilyaa deserves accolades for bringing a refreshing twist of characters and easy to follow storyline to all kinds of audiences.
